European Co-citizens’ Competences

European co-citizens have via the learning and living together format of a European Community College and/or similar formats, obtained and applied the following skills, knowledge, responsibilities and autonomy in a real life experience:

The European co-citizen has obtained and applied knowledge in:

- European geography, history and political systems,
- European law and policies,
- Citizens’ rights and duties,
- EU political structure,
- Relevant academic and professional terminology in English,
- Different ways of communicating (mediating, facilitating, formulating arguments, body language),
- Group dynamics,
- Lobbying techniques,
- Non-formal learning methods and their value,
- The operating methods of different sectors

The European co-citizen has gained and applied skills in:

- Using appropriate language,
- Identifying and solving problems,
- Team work and compromise,
- Setting one’s personal agenda aside to focus on achieving a constructive outcome,
- Using curiosity, enthusiasm, patience, creativity, commitment, perseverance to achieve a common goal,
- Interpersonal communication (active listening, diplomatic skills, making oneself clear),
- Intercultural communication (foreign language skills, active listening, diplomatic skills, making oneself clear in intercultural context),

The European co-citizen has developed autonomy and taken responsibility to:
